As we look back on this past year at the Fostering Families Resource Center, one word rises above the rest: gratitude. What unfolded across these twelve months was nothing short of remarkable - an outpouring of generosity, partnership, and love for children and families in the foster care community. Through every challenge and every celebration, we have seen the faithfulness of God. We’re honored to celebrate with you a year of growth, gratitude, and God’s faithfulness.

2025 YEAR IN REVIEW

A New Home Filled with Possibility

In July, we moved into our new space on the Crossnore Communities for Childrencampus. This beautiful facility has become a true hub of connection - a place where families feel welcomed, social workers feel supported, and children feel seen and valued. We are grateful for the ways God has opened doors through this partnership, allowing us to serve more families than ever before.

Hundreds of Moments of Care and Connection

Throughout the year, we had 658 opportunities to support children and families across eight counties. Each number represents a story, a prayer answered, a need met, a burden lifted. Because of the generosity of donors and volunteers, we were able to provide: new clothing, coats, shoes, hygiene items, car seats, cribs, duffel bags, assistance for camps and tutoring as well as referrals to various agencies to provide furniture and even transportation to appointments and help with childcare.

Joy-Filled Events that Strengthened Families

Our Back-to-School event, Fall Festival, and Christmas Open House were filled with laughter, connection, and moments that reminded families they are not alone. Children found “special” outfits that made them feel confident, parents connected with others who understand their journey and volunteers poured out love in every detail.

A New Chapter in Yadkin County

One of the most meaningful developments this year was receiving a generous grant from the Shallowford Foundation, which is allowing us to extend our mission into Yadkin County in a powerful new way! This funding will support the creation of a foster closet in Yadkin County and strengthen our ability to support social workers and families.

We see this expansion as a direct answer to prayer and a beautiful step toward our long-term vision - ensuring that all children have the support, dignity, and community they deserve.
